I just bought an iPod Touch to my wife, and she seems to use it mainly as an internet device with iPod capability. Games seem to be big also. Just an amateur observation. I didn't have time to watch it through, but Christian raises an important point: making a mobile phone OS is a huge effort which makes it impossible for most companies to enter the market with innovative products. It's interesting to see how Android changes this. It's still a huge effort to make innovative changes to Android codebase, but I think more manageable than making it from the scratch.
